Two Townsites, Two Yard Layouts
Villa Grove's original 1887 plat and the 1902-era Frisco division-point rebuild produced two distinct sections of town, each laid out on its own timeline near the Embarras River. The newer Frisco-era townsite, built on 260 purchased acres, followed a different lot layout than the original 'old town' plat.
